ABOUT ME

I'm a friendly girl, I like to laugh and joke and gossip with my friends. I also like to meet new people, although I usually leave out the gossiping part until I know them better :P. I'm kind of lazy, I don't like to have a packed schedule, unless I'm travelling, then it can be packed to the fullest, if it means I get to see and experience more. I really enjoy making lists and planning things but I also like to be spontaneous and decide things in the heat of the moment. I'm a big music enthusiast and have recently started a vinyl collection which will, I think, broaden my knowledge and appreciation of good music. That's another thing about me, I love to collect things, especially books, dvds and records, even if I don't always get around to reading/watching them all, I love to just look at them on my shelves, I think they really brighten up my room and inspire me :) I also love road trips, there's just nothing better than driving somewhere on a sunny day, surrounded by beautiful landscapes, with good music and good company.

Interests

As I'm sure most of you here, I really love to travel. I have visited quite a few interesting places in my life. One of my goals is to take a road trip along Route 66 once, preferably in a red convertible or a hippie bus. I love all different kinds of music, my favourite instrument are drums which I also played for four years. Otherwise I like to dance, hang out with friends and have as much fun as possible. One of my rather odd interests is visiting graves of famous people:P Even though I currently study Spanish and English, I would like to do something else later on, maybe something like graphic design, though I haven't really decided yet. In the future I would really like to take a year or so off, to travel, work or study somewhere abroad. I'm not the most sporty person but I do enjoy playing badminton, volleyball or anything that offers some kind of adventure. I'm also a big fan of football, mostly of watching it:P

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I like movies that are a little different or that I can connect to. I admire and enjoy great dialogue, that's why I'm a big fan of Tarantino's movies and also Woody Allen's and Kevin Smith's. I like weird and colorful characters that's why I appreciate Wes Anderson's movies. I can probably find movies in every kind of genre that I really enjoy, so I never dismiss a movie based solely on genre. I like a good horror movie just as much as a good romantic comedy, it all depends on what I'm in the mood for. I'm a big fan of parodies, especially the older ones like Airplane or Top Secret. In recent years I've become quite a movie buff so I've also seen a lot of the classics.
Music: I generally like all kinds of music but the music I really enjoy the most is the kind you don't only hear but also feel. That's why soul is one of my favourite genres and Sam Cooke, Etta James and Marvin Gaye are some of my favourite artists. I also love The Doors, The Kinks, Nina Simone, Patsy Cline, Jefferson Airplane, Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin and Elvis Presley.
Books: I love reading travel novels and modern fiction. My favourite book is either Into The Wild or The Things They Carried
