ABOUT ME

I grew up in the midwest of the US---Des Moines, Iowa, to be exact. After undergrad, went to China for around 1 year and taught. During this time, I realized that I enjoyed teaching. Went back to do higher degrees in education and am now working in Taichung!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted many travelers while I was living in Chengde, China. My experience hosting travelers was fantastic, and I am so happy that I did this. I met so many wonderful people through this experience. I hope to do the same while I live in Taichung.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just the little things. Little unspoken connections between those tho don't speak the same language, mostly. I think that these moments are absolutely beautiful.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach - Langauge. I am very interested in the language acquisition process and how this differs from the persons L1 (native) language.

Learn - anything at all. I love to learn! Anything you have to talk about and share, I am all ears.

Share - experiences. I feel like one solid basis for a friendship is common experiences. Thus, I love to converse, travel and explore with new and old friends.
