About Me
Life is beautiful , complicated, and amazing, and sharing it with other cool people from around the world is one of my greatest joys.
I was active in the CS community about 10 years ago in the UK, but my surfing history and profile were deleted due to inactivity (Oops!) so I'm starting over again.
I believe that work is a way to fund life expenses, but mostly to enable travel. As an avid animal lover, I love Volunteer-Pet-Sitting internationally, and will happily explain more. Back in Florida, I work as a professional pet sitter, among other things.
Hoping to visit as many countries as possible...so far, 52 and counting.
Small talk is OK, but I prefer to have deep, respectful conversations, if you're up for it, about any topic, including hot topics like religion, sex, and politics. I don't smoke, and I only drink occasionally, but don't mind if you do.
I'm a Carpe Diem sort of person, and love the adventure of showing up every day with great expectation as to what will unfold. I'm pretty comfortable with taking calculated risks, and prefer to live my life without the regrets of things I wish I had done and didn't. Forgiveness and compassion for others have been big keys for my mental health. I am an eternal optimist, and yes, a romantic at heart.
I love cooking, and learning to cook from others. I love spontaneous plans as well as thought out ones. I am quite flexible, and enjoy the thrill of negotiating cool easy travel as well as some that has been difficult and challenging.
I am an authentic person who values careful listening and good communication. The only games I play would be card games and board games, which I will gladly engage in (no mind games, haha).
I'm half extrovert/half introvert, and get along with just about anyone. I love hearing people's stories, interests, and experiences. Age is just a number, not a barrier, and I'm interested to hear what's important to you.
Some Favorite Quotes:
"Regret for things we've done can be tempered with time, but regret for things we did not do is inconsolable." -Phillips Brooks
"No coward soul is mine,
No trembler in the world's storm-troubled sphere: I see heaven's glories shine,
And faith shines equal, arming me from fear. -Emily Brontë
"It's better to have loved and lost, than to have helped 6 kids with their homework."
-Anonymous
Looking forward to getting to know you...
