ABOUT ME

How to sum up a person? Um. Okay, I travel a lot, by which I mean a LOT, by which I mean I left England in 2002 (January 2nd) and haven't really been back since other than to take care of official and work-related stuff. I've been a teacher, a fruit-picker and even an office bod, but now I travel professionally for a living, which is about the best job I can think of.

PHILOSOPHY

To try to have fun without pissing too many people off. Unless they deserve it.

Power ballads.

And movies with power ballads in them, such as Karate Kid, the Rocky series, Twins (more feelgood than power ballad), Boogie Nights (more power ballad than boogie), and my apartment every morning when I'm having coffee.

For books I like reading my own and laughing at my own jokes, then calling my friends to tell them the jokes, and then wondering why they're not saying anything, and then realising that they're not on the line, and then realising that I'm not even holding a phone, and then getting scared that there may be ghosts or ninjas or even rattlesnakes around.
