My name is Zawk and I love traveling! I'll take any chance I get to grab a backpack and check out somewhere new. Over the past three years of my life (after graduating college and having a "real world" job) I decided I needed to see the world. Thus began my adventures across the globe on planes, trains and various different automobiles. I've also done plenty of road trips through USA and Canada. I just got to Europe from Israel.

I'm friendly and always willing to get lost in a great conversation with a new or old friend. Life is short so I always try to make my time count!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I've traveled abroad I've worked in a bunch of different hostels. Hostels have always been a great way for me to travel and meet other like minded people. So I figured I would give back as a hostel worker and help other travelers in their journey. There's a community of us backpackers out there and I love being a part of that family.

Music, Movies, and Books

Always open to music basically at any time. Can sleep to it. Cook to it. Read with it on in background. Music is a big part of my routine. My go to would be reggae since it's relaxing. But honestly, anything is fine with me.

I haven't watched that many new movies recently since I've hit the road. But I'm always game for a comedy or Star Wars!

I love to read. My favorite book of all time is To Kill A Mockingbird. Also enjoy Stephen King novels and The Book of Basketball by Bill Simmons. Open to any recommendations.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In my opinion I find the fact that I travel mostly alone a nice accomplishment. Of course anyone is capable of trying this, but I feel I've been quite successful making connections all over the world. I've always been more driven in travel by the people I meet versus the locations I visit. Of course it's nice to see new places, but I learn way more from the people I interact with.

I love sharing travel stories and just stories in general. Connecting with a new person could bring a life time friendship, who knows!
