ABOUT ME

I only work to Travel. I caught the bug when I was stationed in Germany in the Army. Served from 2000-2005. Have visited about 35 countries and over half the states so far! I like to really see the places I visit and my best trips have been to the places where I knew someone who lived there. Love getting to know people from all over the world. I'm interested in the cultural sights and sounds, but never shy away from the nightlife either. Really enjoy hosting surfers as well and meeting folks from everywhere! Altogether, a pretty nice guy!

PHILOSOPHY

Money comes and goes, but you can't buy time. Gotta get as much living in as you can! While I'll never shy away from taking a solo trip to somewhere I haven't been, I always enjoy the experience more with friends, both old and new!

HOW I PARTICIPATE

We just moved to Lexington, KY from Dayton, OH for my wife's internal medicine residency at UK and I'd like to cash in on some of my couchsurfing karma to help meet people here and expand my social network in Lexington. Also willing to host when able, although we don't have nearly the space to put people up that we did in Dayton. Otherwise, I want to use the site to expand my network of travel-oriented friends by doing some surfing myself. Ultimately, would like to take 3 months off and just surf the world!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have surfed several times now, and have hosted quite a few times in Dayton. All have been fantastic experiences and I have met some really great people through the site.

I play guitar and really love every kind of music. But I grew up listening to classic country and have a special affinity for the likes of Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Charley Pride, Willie Nelson, George Jones, Randy Travis, Johnny Paycheck, Marty Robbins, etc. If you like this kind of music, let me know and I'll pick you a song! Even better if you play an instrument and can trade some songs back and forth! I really appreciate nearly all types of music and am hoping to meet other musicians in Lexington and maybe even get a classic country band going again!
