I'm a reliable, responsible, open-minded, relaxed, sociable and idealistic man. A keen and lateral thinker. I'm pretty relaxed and calm, but I come out of my shell as soon as I feel comfortable and when something is really important to me. I care for the small things and I appreciate quality. I love discussions, in a sharp-witted, humorous and humanitarian way. I'm a sportsman, I'm fair, but I fight till the very last rally.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surf ... I host ...

I believe (and have experienced) that sitting around a kitchen table and having dinner with other couchsurfers is of much more value than visiting any tourist attraction. Community emerges from encounters.

By now, I have hosted an estimated number of 60 people and have been hosted by about 50 people as well.

Cooking, baking and eating good, organic food; politics; climbing and other sports, travelling, hiking and other outdoor adventures, watching the world go by, improving my English.

I don't think in categories. Either I'm touched or not.

Films? I don't like mainstream, I'm into independent films, neither Hollywood nor Bollywood.

Books? Nalo Hopkinson, Ian McEwan and South African literature: Coetzee, Gordimer and Bosman.
