About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live, Learn, Love and Lampoon

ABOUT ME
I was thawed out of a glacier in the Yukon and escaped to civilization some years after.
Home is Vancouver. I live in East Van with some rad people in a big old house with a fat orange cat.

I alternate between film work and construction. My spare time is usually divided between punk dive bars, the beach, playing mandolin or guitar, building things, gardening, and fire spinning. I also rock climb and like to hit the gym. I suppose once you distill it all I just like to create and invent and keep moving.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've couch surfed on and off the CS site, from the Yukon to New Mexico and a spate of places in between. Its a great way to travel and meet people. Hosted a few surfers outside the Official Couchsurfer.com continuum.

I think couchsurfing is a great way to connect people and help travellers find the real heart and soul of whatever place and people they are visiting.

Interests

Playing mandolin, brewing booze, growing food, cooking, cinema, writing, travel, guitar, video games, bluegrass, fire spinning, rock climbing, scuba, free diving, photography.

Music, Movies, and Books

I just read Choke by Chuck Palahniuk in one sitting. Next up is some William Gibson. Clive Barker is another fave.

Movies would be Madventures, Constantine (the tv series) Cowboy Bebop. Anything Anthony Bourdain.

Music is a big one. This week its the Dreadnoughts, Iron Horse, and Larry and His Flask. Next week it might be Skinny Puppy and Manson, or Rachmaninoff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent 2 weeks in a canoe on the Yukon River from Johnsons Crossing to Pelly reenacting a native trade route with Tlingit folks from my hometown.
