To connect with people and get out of my comfort zone. I want to make memories I can tell my grandkids about but not force myself to be anybody I'm not.

ABOUT ME

I grew up in San Diego and went to high school and college in Los Angeles (Go Bruins!) but I now live and work in the San Francisco Bay Area. Soon I am starting graduate school in Ohio!

I'm a laid back, friendly person, and I love cozy nights reading a book and drinking tea as much as crazy nights out dancing till dawn. I love exploring new cultures, learning the history of new places, and meeting local people on my travels.

PHILOSOPHY

If you're gonna do something, put all your heart and strength into it--don't do anything half-assed.

Appreciate the little things in life--a rainy afternoon, a homework-free weekend, an hour people-watching in a café...those are the things that make life worthwhile.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only stayed with couchsurfers once but it was a great experience. Mostly I love meeting up with couchsurfers on my travels, I think it's a fantastic way to meet locals and discover a city in a way I never could on my own!

I love Harry Potter and everything Harry Potter related, as well as the book series The Magicians, the novels of Jane Austen, and too many more to really list...I love fantasy/adventure and some general fiction (everything by Liane Moriarty, Gone Girl, the Girl on the Train...) The Abhorsen trilogy by Garth Nix, A Thinking Girl's Guide to Real Magic.

For TV, I love WestWorld, Doctor Who, Firefly, Friends, The Office (US), Girls, Broad City, Bob's Burgers...
Best film I've seen so far this year is The Handmaiden, by Chan-Wook Park. Also loved Wonder Woman and Guardians of the Galaxy Part 2.

I can give English lessons! And I'm always looking to improve my salsa skills, as well as learn new languages!
