About Me
ABOUT ME
Hi there! Nice to meet you!
At this moment my life evolves around theater, since I'm studying how to become a teachter/director/actor and at the sime thime I'm already teaching youngsters in an after school academy as a parttime job. As a theater student (Tilburg, NL) I really want to explore the field of theater, meet inspiring people, see expermental plays, try things out. I love to combine mutliple disciplines (music, visual arts, dance, ...) and I love love love to make 'performances', to tell a story without having to bend to conventions of speach or acts.
I'm a storry teller. I tell stories at parties for kids, but also for adults. So if you are having a party and you want to hear a nice story, let me know!
As a I teachter I try to empower my students. So that they can feel comfortable on the scene, and so that they can grow in telling their storries. I think that theater can empower adolescents. The scene can be a place to experiment (what kind of person do I want to be), and can be a place to overcome issues and to grow in self-esteem, without therapeutizite things.
PHILOSOPHY
'To be nobody but yourself - in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else - means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight, and never stop fighting.'
- E.E. Cummings
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
This is my first attempt to do couchsurfing with people I have no connection with. So far the couches I surfed where from friends or acquaintances. So hello there! Do you want to get acquaintaned? :-)
Interests
Ah interests, so manny...
If there is water, I want to be on it (sailing, windsurfing).
I like crafts, such as knitting, felting, sewing,... If i can make it myself I want to learn it.
I also love to spend time with friends: going to theater or a good movie, telling each other stories, long walks in the woods, snowball fights, cooking together, late philosophic conversations over a glass of wine, invent a new play in a pub with a beer, or snuggling under a blanket with a hot chocolate on the couch,...

Music, Movies, and Books
Ah so manny good ones...hard to choose.
- Movies: From a good thriller to a tearjerker, I love it all. I like it if they are a bit alternative, not following the 'standards'. Most recent good movies I've seen: Suther Island, El secreto de sus ogos, un long dimanche de fiancailles,...
- I'm always in the mood for a good soap (friends, Sex and the city, Greys anatomy, six feet under, CSI...)
- I try to reed often, mostly it comes down to alternating between two or tree books a month. So at the end of the month I reach an average of one a week :-) I like 'old school detectives' as Sherlock Holmes, Hercule Poirot, but also Scandinavian ones as Wallander, Van Veeteren,...
- Poetry: Toon Tellegen, C.S. Lewis, Paulo Coelho,... I love quotes, so I often make cards for my friends with a quote of the day/ for a birthday,...
- I love music, but I don't have favorites. I like classical music (Chopin,...) world music, rock/pop (Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, Donovan Frankenreiter, Gavin Degraw,... but also the Roling Stones, Joni Mitchell, ...)
