About Me

I'm a 20 years old french girl, currently studying in UCL in London. I studied 2 years in Nancy. I have congolese origins. I come from Montpellier, south of France and I like to consider myself as a mediterannean girl which means I love olive oil and I would say I'm quite chill. I'm really outgoing and talkative, I love meeting new people, learning about them and exhanging as much as possible.
I often go to Taizé community where I lived amazing experiences which changed my life and helped me discover myself. I like to attend gospel concerts where my mum sings because of the good vibes.
My passion is drama, I used to act a lot and last year I had the chance to stage a play. It was an amazing experience. I like to play some piano sometimes. I try to swim once a week and I really enjoy going for a walk in nature when it's possible.
I am volunteering in an organization called "Coexister" which promotes the coexistence of different convictions within a society. It is an important part of my life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I chose to join the couch surfing community because I think it is an amazing way of meeting new people from different cultures. When I travel abroad, I would like to meet people from the country I am visiting, not just visit the country and stay in a airbnb with the people with whom I 'm traveling with. I think that you cannot visit a country if you didn't meet, exchange, speak, laugh, eat with someone living in that country. I found it amazing to be able to meet someone and share his daily routine even for a night.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I taught German in a school for refugees in Berlin for 2 months. This experience turned me upside down. I was 19 and I came thinking I was teaching them something but they actually taught me so much. My "students" were all between 17 and 27 and they had been through so much that they couldn't help but to smile every single day, even though they were struggling with German, they still find the strength to come every single day from 8 to 19, and after class they would go to work; some of them were doing Ramadan and couldn't eat or drink and it was 30 degrees in Berlin this summer .. They impressed me in every single way. They were really motivated and passionate about everything they could learn. They became my friends really fast because I was amazed by them and I wanted to connect with them. They took me to diners, to parties, we had so much fun all together. I think about my Syrian and Irakian friends every day and I call them once a weak because I made friends for life. This has been my most important experience of life.
