About Me

I have been on couchsurfing for over 11 years. I have not been super active recently, but I still love the philosophy and when possible, I love to host and to stay with people while I'm traveling. I am anti-consumerist, and I love traveling. A big part of what makes traveling amazing is connecting with people in different parts of the world, from different backgrounds and cultures. This is one of the ways I replenish my hope and faith in humanity.

If you read my reviews, you may notice people referring to me as "she" and my given name--I am trans(gender) and no longer use that name or that pronoun--"he" or "they" are both fine. I welcome respectful questions--that is how we learn about those who are different from us!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the philosophy and practice of strangers opening their homes and hearts to one another. For me, this is a direct way of combatting the fear-mongering and distrust so sadly prevalent in our capitalist, consumer-driven world.

One of the hardest and most important things we can offer one another is to sit with difficult emotions and not try to fix them, but simply to witness and accept.
