It can be a nice way to get to know people, go to places and have experiences you couldn't have from backpacking or staying hotels. Also when you host a person sometimes you can meet really interesting people, and I really love to show these people around and have conversations.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

My Chinese learning journey has been incredible. In 2015, I started learning Chinese and was awarded a scholarship to go to Chinese Hong Kong University. I was in Hong Kong and mainland China for a total of 7 months, making trips to Shenzhen and Macau. I can honestly say that I've had some of the strangest experiences during this period of my life.

Thirsty for more travel and excitement, came back from my exchange, continued working on Mandarin Chinese, and applied for ANOTHER exchange. This time I got accepted to study at Sun Yat Sen University in Kaohsiung in southern Taiwan. It is definitely a different experience to Hong Kong, and that time I had a holiday to Japan.

Now, I am doing advanced Mandarin at Australian National University.
