Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My adventures in CS began in earnest while traveling through India in 2010. I was deeply moved by the generosity and camaraderie of people I met across southeast Asia. I hope I can share this same spirit with everyone I meet, whether at my home in San Antonio or with fellow travelers on the road.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Since I started surfing, I've met new friends over coffee in Srinagar; I couch-surfed in Goa, explored the forests of Kerala and walked the polyphonic streets of Trivandrum. It was a blast!
Back in Texas, I've had the pleasure of welcoming several guests to my home in San Antonio. I love the possibility of getting to know people who might be different from me and sharing a connection together. I am grateful for the new friends I have found here.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
LOVE
Teach, Learn, Share
Art Skills: I am a bookbinder and I can teach many stiles of binding.
I am also a practicing Buddhist, and I love learning and talking about the Dharma.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am happy to share my love and knowledge of San Antonio. I'm from SA born and raised, although I've been away traveling for a long time. I have a small studio apartment near downtown. It easy to walk or get around on bike. Sleeping accommodations are a little tight, since it's a small apartment. I have a floor futon mattress next to a small floor bed where I sleep. If you don't mind the cosiness, you are welcome to stay.
If you come stay with me, please know that I live a quiet life and I am not into partying, i.e. no drinking or drugs. If you are into late-night partying and drugs, please look to stay somewhere else.
I work out of my home, so I can probably only host a couple of days.
That said, it would be my pleasure to host. I've been welcome into so many homes around the world that I am happy to return the favor by sharing my home with others.
Thank you for reading through my profile. If you request to stay, please include the word "TORTUGA" at the top of the message. Cheers!
