Overview
About Me
I am selçuk sahin. I have been a farmhouse for 10 years. I am a permaculture designer. My first job is butchery. I made a shepherd, I banked, I worked in the pharmaceutical sector. I like life as I set my life.
Zeytinliboğaz Farm was established in 1970s. It is a family farm in which animal husbandry, fruit farming, vegetable farming, olive farming are being done. Since the owner of the farm got old, Zeytinliboğaz Farm was transferred to Selçuk Şahin and his family in 2008. Selçuk Şahin’s parents, Kadriye and Eyüp are the other residents of the farm. Kadriye is a well-equipped housewife making yoghurt, cheese, pickles, pasta, sour-dough bread etc. Eyüp retired after working as a butcher which was his father’s profession. He is also a farmer and well equipped for animal breeding.
Zeytinliboğaz Farm follows permaculture principles. On the farm, with its wide variety of vegetation cover with untouched nature and oxygen, pleasant and healthy activities are being done ÂÂ for 12 months of the year.
We prefer heirloom and local seeds. Seed saving and seed exchange activities are important for us. Our effort is to contribute the whole with the sun, clean wind, clean water, clean soil and biodiversity provided by the region itself by following the permaculture principles.
Children can experience their limitless imaginery world by playing the games that they developed in natural areas on the farm. The happiness of children who has collected eggs, cherries, jumped around, got to know the animals and plants, played with water with goose and ducklings so far, is constantly echoing in the green hills.
You are invited to Zeytinliboğaz Farm to share the new experiences together.
