About Me
If there are a few things I can do all my life, it'd be to eat, travel, read, write, talk to new people and constantly learn new things. I'm a restless 20-something with lots of lives yet to be lived, but so far it has brought me from Malaysia to Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Washington, DC, and Boston, Massachusetts. On the look for more adventures. I'm new to couch surfing, hope to learn more about this way of traveling!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'd love to explore the United States before leaving the country! I'm constantly in awe of the diversity and beauty present in this country. I also love meeting the people here - cause y'all are the friendliest people ever.
Interests
Reading, writing, photography, talking to strangers, walking, dancing, hiking and engaging in interesting conversations.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Black Keys, jazz, Salsa/Latin jazz, grand piano concertos that jolt your heart.
Movies: Fight Club and Memento, hands down. When I'm feeling less intense, the Lego Movie and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
Books: Anything by J.D. Salinger. Henry David Thoreau. Ernest Hemingway. F. Scott Fitzgerald. Bill Bryson. I also love reading books written by journalists, particularly Michael Hastings, Matt Taibbi and Elizabeth Kolbert.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiked for six hours (ended with me in tears crawling on all fours,) walked back to the campsite under a full moon with fireflies blinking around me and a sky bursting with stars.
Really, all credits to mother nature, I did nothing other than stumble into it.
Teach, Learn, Share
We can swap stories! I LOVE listening to your experiences and I LOVE talking about anything under the sun from politics to philosophy. Laughing is good too, I'm down for jokes.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Want to visit Southeast Asia? Learn Mandarin and Malay? Share some laughter, have some fun?
I can do that ;)
