Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to not only travel the world and see the sights, but also to meet interesting people along the way. Living with locals also seems the best way to integrate oneself in the local culture and truly see how other people live; to walk in their shoes, so to speak. Not to mention, it is also a much cheaper option when traveling for long periods of time. I think it's great how people open their homes to complete strangers and that both parties can walk away feeling enlightened and enriched. I hope to be able to share my unique life experiences and to be a captive audience for others as they share their experiences and ideas.
