I am a postgraduate of Creative and Media Enterprises at University of Warwick in UK. I've been brought up in Sichuan, China where is famous for its amazingly delicious food (such as Hot Pot, Mapo Tofu) and cute pandas!

I am a very open-minded person and I would love to share ideas with people to gain different dimensions of life to explore the world.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

One of my friends in UK introduced this awesome website to me and encouraged me to be a couchsurfer. Then I said, why not? Just cannot wait to start my adventure, meet new people and get inspired by every coushsurfer who I spent time with!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I just registered my account and haven't surf the couch yet.
I will go to USA during my easter holiday (24 Mar - 14 Apr, 2015) and wish I could gain some good experiences of couchsurfing this time.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC

Jazz of Nat King Cole, Rock of Dou Wei, Reggae of Bob Marley…Actually, all genres of music is good to me as long as it would touch my in a way and give me a feeling of connection. And I started playing classic piano since I was 4 years old and recently, I am trying to learn jazz piano.

MOVIES

I would like to watch and collect movies according to the directors. My favorite director is Ang Lee and I reckon him as the one of most successful asian directors who develop career in Hollywood. And Jim Jarmusch, Wim Wenders, Bernardo Bertolucci, Ye Lou, Zhangke Jia, Kar Wai Wong are the directors who I really admire!

BOOKS

Not usually read English books but Chinese books.
And I would appreciate if you can recommend some good English books and writers to me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being a producer of one documentary film called A Father's Decision.

Actually, this documentary film is the graduation project of my bachelor degree. We teamed up with 5 person and lived at a very remote mountain area in the south-east part of China for three months. The living condition in there was extremely poor and we only could take a shower once every two weeks.

But what we had seen there was amazing! We recorded a family's daily life and tried to tell a story about a Chinese traditional father. The film has become a huge success to some extent and has been showed in some theatres in China.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook some traditional Chinese cuisines which I learned from my grandmother if you wanna have a try.

Tell you some interesting stories about film making.

Share some experiences about life in UK as an international student.

Sing and play piano for you if you want to listen from a passionate music lover. <3
