Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The idea comes from a documentary TV show in China, "Hitchhiking to Berlin". One guy, whose name is Yue Gu, along with his companion, Chang Liu, a documentary director, spent 4 months hitchhiking from Beijing all the way to Berlin to see his girlfriend. They used Couchsurfing to find places to stay and had a wonderful experience. They strongly suggested travelers to try it.
In 2012, I hitchhiked to Xi'an, the ancient capital city. During that time, I did my first couchsurfing. My host was very kind. We shared our experience and knowledge, ate a lot of delicious food. It was one of the most amazing experience I have ever had.
