About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To realize my dream of becoming a global citizen!

ABOUT ME

I work in the banking industry as I have a perpetual fascination with the financial markets and dazzling corporate world. But no amount of work is gonna diminish my insatiable passion in travelling and meeting new people. Every little encounter with someone new energizes me and I will give a little love, in return for a promise of everlasting friendship.

I'm a hopeless romantic, with a love for fairy tales, classical and jazz music and ballroom dance. As a hedonist, I believe in maximizing pleasure and also in savoring in the moment. Also an optimist, I choose to see the good in everything and everyone. When faced with the ugly truth, I allow myself a few moments of sadness and move on stronger. If you know finance, you'll know that investors are rewarded for taking risk. I've learnt to take calculated risk, but I do go over the top sometimes, for the fun of it!

I cannot stand any form of stagnation so I always engage in activities with incremental value add to my knowledge and wisdom, which explains my quenchless appetite for books. I refuse to conform to social conventions and love the concept of self-reliance and spontaneity in life. If there's anything else you'd like to know about me, you have to meet me lol.

PHILOSOPHY

"Love never fails." 1 Corinthians 13:8
"Strangers are just family you have yet to come to know." Mitch Albom

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Visited 36 states (16.7%)

I would not have imagined that couchsurfing could become an integral part of my life if I had not taken the first step out of my comfort zone to couchsurf in Berlin on my own! Subsequently, I hosted and met many couchsurfers during my student exchange program in Stockholm. It is exactly my idea of how life should be like - it excites, inspires, enlightens and propels me forward with continuous positive energy!

At home in Singapore, I've hosted a few couchsurfers and met a lot others for coffee/drinks/dinner/partying! Even though I can't host you for now, I would love to meet more couchsurfers and show beautiful and sunny Singapore to you. Please don't hesitate to write to me! :D
