This is Alex...nice to meet you! welcome to Yangshuo and welcome to our school. Yes, we accept people who are cool and speak English well. We have classes all year round, a break on weekends. Our school is located in Yangshuo, Guangxi province, which is one of the most beautiful towns in China.
Being a volunteer in our college, all you have to do is to participate at what we call the English Corner. In that activity you are sitting with a few students, which are all adults, and you have a discussion with them about any topic that you are interested in, you can also talk about culture, territory, nature and country place. So the students can practice their English. The English Corners are from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, but you must five minutes in advance; it is 4 times a week from Monday to Thursday. Also, from 4:40 pm to 5:30pm on Thursday, one volunteer needs to have a Cultural Exchange Class. They can use the computer to show some typical pictures to students and tell them something about her/his country, such as geography, tourism, economy, education, culture and something about the difference between China and her/his country ,and so on.
In exchange of a few hours of voluntary work, we can provide you with free accommodation,just like a youth hotel, (sometime maybe mixed accommodation) in Yangshuo and free meals from Monday to Friday. (lunch and dinner, not including breakfast)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
