About Me

Hello! We are Klemi and Zibi, two young Students (Psychology and Veterinarian) who are trying to enjoy life to it's fullest. In our free time we love to go hiking (as you can see in the pictures) and also we enjoy spending countless hours walking around town, exploring every little detail that it has to offer. Besides being in nature, we also love to cook, mostly vegetarian dishes and also trying out some of our own recipes (sometimes that does not go as well). You could say that we don't enjoy being in the center of attention, however we like to spend quality time with our friends and getting to know new people.

p.s.: We have been vaccinated with the 3rd dose of PFIZER vaccination, if this is important to you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In 2018 I (Daniel) did a Europe Tour with my friends and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. In that year shortly after, we met and I started to tell some stories to my girlfriend (Klemi). Since those stories she always wanted to go and visit Paris, and started to put away a sum of money monthly hoping to one day visit that beautiful city. COVID came and it was what it was, but now it is time finally, to fulfill her dream! We are planning to do another Europe Tour, now just the two of us, so we are going to start from Paris, France, and from there, who knows where destiny takes us! Our goal is not only to visit the museums and famous places, rather, spend time in natural places and get to know the city and culture through local eyes, which is why we thought CS would be a great place for us.

Music, Movies, and Books

Klemi: Carson Coma - Én Még Sohasem / About Time (2013) / Irvin Yalom - The Gift of Therapy

Daniel: Quimby - Most múlik pontosan / The Wind Rises (2013) / James Herriot All Creatures Great and Small

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Daniel: I got the opportunity to volunteer at a Zoo, which helped me decide my future of being an Exotic Animal Veterinarian.

Klemi: Went together with Zibi to a hike, where we found lots of caves and felt like true explorers.

Teach, Learn, Share

Klemi: I learned that it is less important what happens to us, then the way we perceive it.
The way you live your life is your responsibility: if you want to go outside, instead of bringing up an excuse such as it is raining, take an umbrella and enjoy it!

Daniel: I learned that there are no strangers on this Earth. Everybody can find at least one thing that shares with the other person, and that is humanity.
Noting is impossible, you just have to put your mind, body and soul into it, and you will succeed!

What I Can Share with Hosts

We enjoy cooking, and we can cook a few traditional Romanian and Hungarian meals that are vegetarian.
Housework is not a stranger to us, we are living in an apartment together, so plenty of cleaning, repairing and doing stuff around the house.
Sharing stories about our hikes in nature, travels in Europe, university and listening to some stories that our Host has!
