ABOUT ME

For the last 13 years I have been living in Cornwall, where I met my partner at University. We have been working and living together for the last eleven years (since 2005). We are very involved in the performance art world nationally and internationally, so we travel a lot and see different places all the time. We love exploring different cultures and meet new people, and our work as artists is very much inspired by our travel experiences. We both are outgoing, fun loving, self-sufficient, and friendly people and love good conversations, as well as spending quiet time reading, writing, and day dreaming. We love trying out new things and experiences and enjoy adventures, especially outdoors.

PHILOSOPHY

Be present in the moment and let life unfold, being open to notice all the wonders and surprises on the way, no matter how small they are; being grateful for life and live it to the best we can without 'shoulds' and 'buts', and most of all laugh a lot and love a lot.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are offering our lovely sofa bed (sleeps two) in our living room in front of our cosy woodburner. We live in the most westerly town of the UK (the real landsend!), surrounded by moorland and the ocean with a stunning coastline and sandy beaches. Our cottage is in a row of old granite mining cottages near the town centre, it has a beautiful garden, where we grow flowers and vegetables.
We also are looking for people who can offer us a couch on our upcoming travels.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In November 2011 we couchsurfed in Warsaw, Poland, which was one of the best travel experience we had in a long time: Vibrant and interesting conversations, open hearts and mutual respect, shared food, fascinating city adventures and lots of dreaming and sharing of ideas. Since this we have surfed a few other times and had truly amazing times meeting new and lovely people.

very eclectic, pretty much anything apart from Horror and Hollywood action films. Big interest in independent filmmakers and experimental films, the same with music and books.

Hiking in the Patagonian Andes and the Himalayas, encountering bears in Canadian wilderness, visiting Tibetan temples in the Himalayas, getting lost in the white desert in Egypt.

We can share knowledge on gardening, foraging wild foods, travel stories, performance ideas, creative exercises, photography, video editing, computer maintenance, alternative medicine knowledge, meditation techniques, horse riding skills, camping tips and games.
I would like to find out more about voicework, movement based exercises, devising techniques for theatre/performance making, piano playing, spanish speaking, natural horsemanship, plant knowledge and foraging.
