About Me
Almost at the end of 5 years of study, I have used the blessedly long Summer and Winter breaks to go travelling as much as I can with my friends and my girlfriend.
I am a fun-loving, intellectual, silly and adventurous guy. This world is just too big and beautiful and filled with incredible places and interesting people for me to just sit at home and go on the same vanilla holidays year after year.
South Africa is an incredibly beautiful place and I have enjoyed exploring our quaint little towns, seaside gems and incredible nature! There are also such amazing countries that boarder us, and I have been able to motorbike in the Namibian sand dunes, ski in Lesotho and swim in the Zambezi river.
I have been to both Thailand and India on social-justice tours that really changed my life. Besides for the touring which was amazing, we had so many self development sessions, meditated on the top of a mountain in East Asia and actually were able to teach English and volunteer with initiatives in the local communities.
I love meeting new people and getting to know their stories. While I do this in everyday life unfortunately in the past this hasn't been a big part of my travelling because I've usually been with my family or large groups. And while you do meet locals, and other travelers its just not quite the same.
That's why I have decided to join the Couchsurfing community. So that when I come home from travelling some new part of the world, I have made some new friends along the way and learnt about those countries from the people who live in them. And so that I can meet amazing people while I am just living my everyday life at home.

If you wish to stay at me, then you must include in your message something that I wrote about in my profile. If I'm going to be hosting you, it is important that we'll be a good fit and you can help show that by reading through my profile. Extra marks will be given if you can tell me what unusual pet me and my family used to have.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've really been blessed that I have been able to see so much of the world so far. It has been amazing! Most of my travels have been with my family or on organised tours with my friends. When doing that kind of travel you can definitely find yourself in completely weird and wonderful places and experience amazing things. But I found that I was really just a tourist in these places. I never really met people properly and made lasting connections because we were always traveling as a family or group.
I would love nothing more on my future travels then to meet interesting people and share my travels with them. Joining the Couchsurfing community seems like the perfect way to do just that!

Teach, Learn, Share
I like to talk about so many things from politics and religion to lifehacks and stories from my beautiful South Africa. I find in conversation there is so much to learn, teach and share! I would love to learn about your experiences and what it is like to live in your country.
I have been a registered conciousness/life coach since 2010, so may be able to share some insights from this perspective
What I Can Share with Hosts
If you let me I'll keep you up all night talking, telling stories and hopefully hearing about your own.
I love exploring and getting to know the area like a local, so would be a keen travel buddy if you want to do any day trips.
If you have a guitar we can Jam (Though I'm a little rusty at the moment).
I'm comfortable in the kitchen and while I can't promise anything 5-Star, would be more than happy to whip you up a home-cooked meal
