About Me

A spiritual Journey

Hi, We are Moroccans and French living in Paris for the past 7 years for me and 12 for my husband.
I love my culture and learning about new authentic cultures. That is why we’ve decided to go on a modest world tour to visit Africa, Middle-East and Asia.
We started in Iran, Oman, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, UAE, India, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Japan and now we are in South Korea.

We made this decision in January while traveling across Jordan and meeting beautiful people who welcomed us gracefully to their homes to share a meal or a cup of tea.
We were very grateful and very content about the emotional connection we had experienced. It felt better than most of our hotel-based trips that we used to have. This is why we wanted more of that heartwarming feeling.

Our itinerary includes beautiful places around the world where it is still possible to meet good people (and pets) and contemplate the splendid natural views and learn.

We hope to stay a few days at your welcoming places since it will bring to our journey the authenticity we're looking for.

My profile in Airbnb includes the references of our trips, we mix CS with Airbnb and Booking to be able to enjoy CS more. I'll leave the link here in case you want to make sure we’re safe guests :p :

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To discover new things through different people coming from all over the world and to share ideas and passions.

To learn from you. To discover me through you.

I am a very intuitive person and I believe from my little experience that the less enjoyable experiences also teaches me a lot and they’re sometimes the only way to even get an access to other experiences, meetings and encounters.

Interests

Well, traveling for sure comes first but mostly in places with nature views. I prefer nature rather than buildings.. I can spend hours sitting next to a natural view but really no more than few minutes looking at a nice building or visiting a mall..
I love theater. I've had few occasions to do a session when i used to study in Angers and it was one of the best weeks of my life.. Still looking forward to find a new theater group with the same spirit :)
Cooking tasty dishes, i've ruined many but i still like to try new recipies and combinations (Huuuge fan of sweet-sour preparations)
My current interest is psychoanalysis, the fascinating world of dreams and the realm of the subconscious :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to everything that moves me depending on my mood.
Some of my favorite songs are :
"Dream a little dream of me" but more of Ella Fitzgerald & Louis Armstrong's version.
"Beautiful Tango" by Hindi Zahra (it's a combination of french, english, arabic and berber language)
Vivre pour Vivre - https://youtu.be/kmdZXrTIbdA

I like to read moving novels about simple life written by talented women such as "Le Harem de Fes" by Mernissi Fatima..

I've never really had one favorite movie, but i really liked the movies that can help me visualize some life lessons such as « I AM SAM » (Jessie Nelson), « Lion » (Garth Davis) « The terminal » (Steven Spielberg) and « My neighbor Totoro ».
I can’t watch Horror movies 🎥
I'm into tv shows, i re-watched several times for instance ‘That 70’s show’ 'Friends' 'Seinfeld' 'How i met your mother' 'two and a half men' 'According to Jim’.. And recently I'm into Korean tv shows
