关于我
CURRENT MISSION
Live the Vacation
ABOUT ME
If it's outdoors I either do it or would love to try it. Winter time it's telemark skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, or snowmobiling and running. I'd love to try ice climbing but haven't had the chance yet. In the summer it's running, camping, hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, road biking, disc golf, and four wheeling.
PHILOSOPHY
Hedonist = someone who lives their life in pursuit of pleasure. For me, seeing the world and different cultures that most will never experience is what I enjoy... that and being active during the day so I can sleep at night.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have hosted a number of people in a couple different states that I've lived in. I've yet to surf myself, but that's coming soon. I'm not in a vacation destination anymore unfortunately, but if you're traveling through the area and want a place to shower and rest up my house is open. I'm not too far from Denver and the mountains, but public transportation here isn't the greatest when compared to other cities, so having a vehicle is a good idea.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've yet to have a bad experience with anyone I've stayed with or have hosted. Everyone has always been polite and those I've stayed with have gone above and beyond to make me feel at home... I hope others feel I try to do the same.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情
Traveled to and driven to 40 US States, lived in 4 states (NJ, NC, CO, CA), lived in a tent for a month in the mountains of Colorado, spent 3 weeks in Jamaica, driven completely across the United States 5 times, hiked up a mountain to 14,200 feet (~4,330 meters) above sea level. I am afraid of heights and can't walk up to a ledge on the second floor of a building without holding the railing, but somehow I enjoy being attached to the side of vertical cliff walls 500ft (~150meters) off the ground while rock climbing.
I've done multiple half ironman triathlons (and shorter ones), an Ironman, and a 50mile running race, and of course multiple marathons and shorter races. In July of '11 I will attempt the Leadville 100 (ie. 100miles of running in under 30hours, at 10k feet elevation). Right now I run about 40-50miles/week, but will likely increase that towards 70 as Leadville approaches. I was a pack a day smoker for 7 years up until October 2008... I have/had my lapses occasionally but still strive to be smoke free.
I have a BS in Computer Science and now that the company I work for is willing to pay I'm applying to grad school to get a MBA. I lived in a tent (by choice) for a month in Vail, I've turned down (unfortunately) an offer to be a park ranger in Utah solely because I wasn't going to be able to pay my student loans.
教,学,和分享
The song every traveler to/in the United States needs to hear is "I've been everywhere" by Johnny Cash.
There is a reason people chose to live where they do. Find out what that reason is and appreciate what that is, you don't have to like it yourself, but at least understand what it is that others love.
