About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Look for EFL opportunities, referee intl basketball(confirmed) see more of Hungary and Eastern Europe
ABOUT ME
Ganz richtig..."imer ich," Generous, "immer praktisch", smart, direct, great sense of humor, lots of fun, well read and traveled, daring
PHILOSOPHY
Lived in Europe for a year while a student and felt a comfort and civility unlike in the States. Want to reacquaint myself again and see places missed before while doing just the things that make me fulfilled and validated but "Aller Anfang is schwer dock hone ihn kein Ende wear"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Always open to working with non native English speakers and talking colloquial American English and very good at business English. Will trade for a glass of wine or beer occasionally.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I crash wherever and whenever I get to a city where I know someone. More fun than staying in a hotel or pension.
Interests
People from any place and any culture from whom I can learn something new so I can synthesize into new perspectives and experiences. I like to read about Europe during and after the war and how they handle their politics, economics and why we as Americans refuse to look across the pond for enlightenment. Big sports person and love basketball to the point where I am a certified basketball referee. Love being Slovenian....hey, there aren't many of us, so we need to stick together if we are going to rule the world.

Music, Movies, and Books
Big movie buff...Das Leben der Anderen...one of the best and currently reading all of Sandor Marai, Hungarian writer...a master of language and sensitive dialogue. Like all music, esp. classical, jazz...but not into rap.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbed Mt. Triglav in Slovenia last September which was a challenge for both my brother and me at our ages....was more than just a walk in the park. Going back to Slovenia and standing in the same house where my grandfather grew up....still in the family! Spending time in Germany and Austria as a young man. First working in a steel foundry in Bielefeld area and then hitching around Europe for the first time and then off to Vienna for studies and sharing life time experiences with my fell Am. students.
Teach, Learn, Share
Will try to acquaint anyone who wants to know about "what the hell is going on in the U.S. this year. Generous with English help; like to cook when I have time and I want to expand on my recipes and culinary skills
Want to know the fine points of basketball and American baseball and football? Talk to me and I'll teach you the basics and nuances on what to look for. Of course, over beer or wine makes it much more fun
