I'm a twenty years old student who is enthusiastic to experience and try as many things as the time lets me! As a biologist I love nature and spending time there, but I am also passionate about many other things, including sports, especially gymnastics and hiking, and music - I sing and play a few instruments. I also greatly enjoy reading interesting books and writing. Although I am a bit shy, I also greatly enjoy meeting both new people and old friends to have an interesting debate on any topic that comes by.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because I think that when travelling all the beautiful architecture and beautiful sights can still leave you empty and without a very good image of what life in that particular country is really like. Only through meeting nice locals can you get to understand the foreign culture better, or get an insight into what life there really is like. My experience of studying abroad in England since two years ago has made me realise how by visiting London for a few days really does not tell you much about the country or the culture there

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like to read in general and I read books of many different genres. I loved The Reader by Bernhard Schlink, and recently I have been quite impressed by the books of a Slovene traveller Tomo Križnar (which has also motivated me to travel more and meet more locals :) )

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not sure if this classifies exactly as amazing, but when I was doing wolf monitoring I got to hear an entire wolf pack, including pups, howling, which is definitely not something everyone can say :)

I have quite a good knowledge about my country, so I can share with you some of it, as well as give you the best suggestions for trips in Slovenia or even take you around, provided that I have some time.
