About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Don't worry be happy!

ABOUT ME

Hi I'm Wendy and I'm from China :)
But now I'm staying in the UK as an exchange student at the University of Nottingham.
I come from a very beautiful city called Guilin from the southwest of China (Google it and you'll be surprised!). Were it not for that I'm not there at the moment, I'd really much like to give everyone a warm welcome.
People say that I'm funny and sympathetic but basically I just like to care about others and make them happy.
My favourite thing is reading and travelling comes the next. Essentially they are all about encountering people and I believe it's the most wonderful thing in life :)
I've been to German, France, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Korea, Mauritius, Australia and the UK so far and I'm looking forward to more! Someone said that life is an adventure or nothing. I can't agree more and I appreciate how more courageous I've become after ever trip.
If I'll have the luck to meet you and share some of your insights that will be great. Cheers!

PHILOSOPHY

For what it's worth , it's never too late, or in my case, too early, to be whoever you want to be be. There's no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can have the best or the worst of it. I hope you have the best of it. I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you have never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you're proud of. If you find that you're not. I hope you have the strength to start all over again. - The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted a German girl at my house for a week when I was in high school. We had great fun and became like sisters. Even now we still remain in touch. This winter I went to Mauritius through AIESEC programs. I wasn' really crushing at some one's couch but we lived in someone's house for almost 6 weeks. That family was extremely nice to us and the landlord's son was really hilarious. Too much story to be told. This summer I went to Australia through Helpx, working in a farm for 10 days. That was a nice experience too. Looking forward to meeting more at their places and giving someone a nice memory staying here!
