About Me
Hi, I am Rebecca, a travelling Chinese in Canada rn.
I am not so familiar with this app and still trying to figure out since so many friends recommend Couchsurfing to me woohoo!!
Travelling to new places, meeting new people, trying new food and experiencing a new culture have always been a passion of mine. I enjoy seeing how life can be so different from the other side of the world and also love to introduce my culture to whoever loves to learn about.
Besides spending the majority of life being in Guangdong, China, I had been an exchange student and stayed in Illinois, US for a year in 2011. I came to Canada last September as a 2+2 Social Work student which means I did my first 2 years of university in China and continued my 3rd and 4th year in Canada. I recently just finished my third year in Westen University in London, Ontario. Can't wait for my FUN summer! :D
Looking forward to travelling to more places!!!
For my hometown China, despite the crazy population, it is a beautiful country for you to travel to. It had not only ancient history but also a warm welcome to different cultures and people. Ps: I may be your tour guide if the schedule fits in well. ;)
Can't wait to be a couch-surfer!!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I used to be an exchange student and travelled to the US by myself when I was 16. :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I am now studying social work. I am very passionate and motivated to be a social worker in the future. Promoting this profession in China, especially Cantonese area (where I grew up in), is one of my goals.
As the first international student in my program, I've been through a lot of obstacles and found it very rewarding as well. I gained in-depth understanding about the society, different populations and enhanced my awareness of privilege and oppression through my insight toward it and my own experience.
I love to share basically everything with people (besides personal hygiene!! lol). We will have a good time :)
