| ABOUT ME |

Life is too short and the world is too big. It is my mission to set sails and experience this world. I am 24 years old and recently finished my contract with the Embassy of Canada in Beijing. I am easygoing, energetic and always down to explore and experience new things. I believe what defines us is the company that we surround ourselves with and the compassion that we show to others.

I was born in Tianjin, China but immigrated to Canada when I was ten. I attended the United World College in Singapore. During those two years, I did a lot of traveling around South East Asia and volunteering with various organizations such as Tiny Toones Cambodia. I went to Macalester College in the U.S. and did a one year exchange at Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan. Shortly after graduation, I worked for the Canadian Embassy in Beijing for one year.

I shall pass this way only once. There is no point in focusing on unpleasantness. Whether or not you were traveling the road with me or just joining now, let us not be strangers. I will welcome you with open arms and an invitation for a drink or two. Whoever said that we had to walk our roads alone?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

| HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING |

My goal is to travel the world through couchsurfing. In the future, I would like to give back by becoming a host. I want to be apart of this amazing community of travelers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have done a some couchsurfing in Japan. However, I have had a lot of experiencing backpacking in Southeast Asia.

Interests

I am interesting in design and how design can be used to change the world. I am looking to go back to school for industrial design in September.

One of my biggest passion in life is breakdancing. (bboying) I have been dancing for 3 years now. Dance taught me what it means to be passionate about something. It gave me the confidence to jump into a circle of people and just express how I am feeling with my body.

I have an great affinity with the ocean. I am a open water scuba diver and have dived in places like East Timor and the Philippines. I was also apart of a crew that sailed a three masted tall ship from Perth, Australia into the middle of the Indian ocean.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am really interested in food. I have done a stagiaire with a chef in Tainan, Taiwan. I can always cooks for my hosts!
