ABOUT ME

My name is Zur, and I just finished my Phd in math. My sweet wife Adi and I are moving to Zurich, where I'm going to work at the ETH. I love to travel and meet people, play the guitar, watch movies, play chess, write stories and dance.
I like to wake up to the sound of music, and I'll start dancing pretty much anywhere.
I like old movies, odd movies, wierd French movies and Eastern action films, and so I'm a regular at the Jerusalem cinemtheque.
I'm really exited about moving to Zurich, definitely one of Europe's most beatiful and vibrant cities.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

After living for two years with three wonderful flatmates and hosting many nice people from all over the world, I traveled a bit myself, and met people all around New Zealand through couchsurfing. I'm moving to Zurich now, and as eager as ever to meet cool people from all over.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I love animated movies - Anime, Disney, whatever. One of my all time favourites is still The Neverending Story. I'm a compulsive reader, and like quality fantasy books like Ursula k LeGuin, trashy SF like Poul Anderson, and British humorists like P G Wodehouse, Douglas Adams and Terry Pratchett. I really like Jazz. I like old stuff, like Abba and the Mamas and the Papas (they're great for dancing :-))

A car on fire. It took forever to burn, and in the end almost nothing remained. Among other things, all of my careful summaries were burnt up.
Oh, and my wife Adi, of course.
