One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
St James' Way in june 2012, Camino de Santiago, the best experience ever. I heard about it many years ago and in 2012 I felt that I needed to do it. To tell the truth, on my way to the city where I was supposed to start the Camino, I was scared, I was coming alone and did know what was waiting for me there. Nevertheless, all my fears disappiared at once when I started walking. I met open-minded, relaxed and smiling people, enjoying their walk.
They say you always find what you are looking for in the Camino, I found family, friends, joy, happiness, inspiration, strength, intimacy with myself and courage. You are never alone in Camino, unless you want to be so. I discovered the magic power of simple words: HOLA, BUEN CAMINO (hi, have a nice walk) that can open hearts.
In the Camino all the social, racial, national diversities disappear, walking 20-30 km per day unites people like nothing else. Useless to say, that the beauty of the nature of the North of Spain conquers you, you fall in love with its landscapes, flower fields, rivers, hills and mountains.
Many words could be said about The Camino, even more funny stories, I just invite everyone to walk it, to live it, to enjoy it, BUEN CAMINO everyone!
