Irina is 25 years old. She works as a translator/interpreter and also teaches Polish language. Irina is an intersectional feminist.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We love travelling and meeting new people all over the world. Not just the touristic way, but also trying to feel like a local. And hanging out with locals is the best way to learn interesting stuff about a new city, to make new friends and practice our English :)

Music, Movies, and Books

We both love British humor, music of the sixties, Steven Universe, Adventure Time and Star Wars.

Irina: I'm a great fan of Pink Floyd, Leonard Cohen, Regina Spektor and Russian band called АукцЫон. My favorite books are L'Écume des jours by Boris Vian (not the movie!), and Three men in a boat by Jerome K. Jerome. Also I am a TV show watcher and my favorites are Friends, Downton Abbey and Girls.

Alexey: my favorite writers are Robert A. Heinlein and Douglas Adams. I like different kinds of music from oldies to IDM and chiptune.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Irina: I used to translate the rehearsals of Shakespeare's "Macbeth" in Moscow Art Theatre for 3 months, working with a bunch of Polish and Russian artists. It was really amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

Irina can teach Polish language and tell you all about Polish history and culture etc. And show you her favorite places in Moscow (she loves Moscow and knows many unusual and beautiful places in the city).
Alexey can talk about virtually everything, but also possesses the ability of not talking but listening.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you have a guitar we can play and sing you some Russian songs (and we could sing along some hits in English of course!)
