Complete my B.A. in International Relations at San Francisco State University while working to organize around Social Justice issues in the Bay Area and beyond

ABOUT ME

I am a 26 year old student who will be studying international relations at San Francisco State University, when I will enter my third year as a junior. I am involved in Bay Area social justice organizations including the Arab Resource and Organizing Center and anti-war movements in Berkeley, Oakland and San Francisco.

I am a servant of the people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couch surfed in Los Angeles through an ad I found on Craigslist. I lived in the Hollywood area for a few months with an actor from Malibu named Stone, it was a pretty chill experience, small apartment, but the couch was enough for me.

Intereses

Reading, political activism, environmental justice, food justice, ideas, social environments, food, kicking it with sweet people.

Lived in a village without any modern amenities like electricity or an adequate supply of clean running water, and taught English to kids between the age of 5 and 15 at the only primary school in the village, while I myself was 16 years old.

I think people are yearning for more freedom from a repressive society. I want to learn what it is people want, and help organize them around their demands. I would like to organize around communities' needs in the future and plan on applying to The Oakland Leadership Academy (TOLA) to gain the skills and networking to help me accomplish my goal of becoming a community organizer.
