About Me

CURRENT MISSION

doing my best to avoid life stagnation...

ABOUT ME

Former Peace Corps volunteer and avid traveler, just like everyone else on CS. My wife and I live in Atlanta and are currently working as high school teachers (remember those cool teachers you really liked when you were in school?)

PHILOSOPHY

My worldview is pacifistic and non-material, but also not judgemental. I think really we're all just trying to figure things out for ourselves and most people aren't bad people - they're just coming from a different place in life. I love talking to people about their thoughts about this crazy place we call the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used Couchsurfing for the first time traveling through Europe on the way back from Peace Corps in West Africa. I met a few cool people and had some excellent experiences; we plan to continue CSing as we travel to new parts of the world!

Currently living in a not-so-spacious apartment, but our doors are open and we're looking forward to hosting surfers in the Atlanta area.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Brussels, Bruges, Ghent, and Rotterdam so far as a surfer. All good times.

Interests

Travel and languages for sure, which goes hand in hand with being able to talk to people and discuss ideas.

Love to be outdoors, hiking, biking, and running.

Love music (both listening and playing/singing);

Let's stick with that for now.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jumped into the Adriatic from the industrial harbor in Trieste - not advisable.

Pular/Fula language found in some regions of West Africa, vegan cooking/cuisine/restaurants in many american cities.
