Overview
About Me
I spent about four years living out of a backpack, traveling around the U.S. and abroad, and spent most of that time staying with people that I didn't know. It was not only a great way to save money, but also I've made some of my dearest friends that way.
Now, I live in a small town and have my own apartment and it seems only fitting to open up my space to anyone who may be coming through.
I work for a small local newspaper, and I also milk cows at an organic dairy farm. For two weeks each fall I work as the health person for a camp for unscoolers (a form of learner-led education).
I spend my spare time gardening, reading, crafting, and exploring.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I adore meeting people, inviting them into my world and being invited into theirs. Making connections around the world is one of my favorite things to do, and I'm always excited to meet new people and explore new places, and to help others do the same.

Teach, Learn, Share
I'm currently trying to learn Spanish, and would love help practicing. I sew often, and would be happy to teach you/help you hone your skills. I always used to rigorously study Tae Kwon Do (I earned my blackbelt), so I'm happy to teach some basic self defense.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Recipes and food, I especially enjoy cooking with vegetables and baking, stories and a listening ear. Any help around the house or garden, childcare, animal care.
