About Me
Hi! I'm currently unable to host anyone at my flat. However, I do a bit of hiking (tramping in NZ English) with friends from time to time, and could totally take a friendly couchsurfer or two with us if we have space in the car. Hiking is a fabulous way to experience some beautiful parts of NZ that you often couldn't get to otherwise. It's also pretty cheap, usually $5 - $15/night to stay in a DOC hut (DOC = Department of Conservation). Get in touch if you're interested, and I'll let you know if I have any trips on the horizon.
Me: A friendly, "slightly" nerdy twentysomething NZer currently working in atmospheric science, who likes music, the outdoors, communities, food, friends, family and thinking about things, probably far too much. Secret love of plants and gardens, which was super uncool at 13, but is becoming more acceptable as I get older (the joys of aging).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've recently had a few wonderful couchsurfing + Workaway experiences in Canada (thank you!), and am now keen to spread the love, help a fellow traveler out and bank up some good couchsurfing karma for when I'm out on the next journey.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Most recently, visiting a few Canadian National Parks. Canada, seriously, stop it. Crazy, beautiful, unreal.
What I Can Share with Hosts
The apparently hilarious Kiwi accent and some sweet as NZ slang. A good recipe for ANZAC biscuits and a lesson in using poi.
