Hi, My name is Zoe! I was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas and have a passion for traveling and learning new languages. I'm currently attending Hendrix College in Conway, AR. I plan on double majoring in business economics and Spanish (even though I am not completely fluent in the language yet!). Before beginning my college education I spent a year living in Brazil learning Portuguese and the wonderful culture they have there. I would say I'm a pretty out going person and love to me new, friendly people!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I believe that it's a wonderful way to see a place through the eyes of a person who lives there instead of staying in a hotel and only going to the tourist attractions. Through Couchsurfing we are given the opportunity to see a more intimate version of our destination instead of what's only on the surface.

Interests

My biggest interest is traveling and hope to someday find a job that will allow me to travel around the world. I also have played soccer since I was four years old and now play on the collegiate level. I enjoy watching movies and meeting new people and eating good food.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have never had a favorite song, movie, or book, however at the moment I am listening to an artist from Canada called Coleman Hell a lot as well as the band Odesza. I'm currently reading The Golden Finch and instead of movies I will list a few of my favorite TV shows since this is easier for me; Breaking Bad, The Office, Dexter, and American Horror Story.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing that I've done personally is live in Brazil for a year. It was a wonderful experience for me to get out on my own for a while and experience the world in a completely different way than I was used to in my little city of Little Rock, Arkansas. I learned how to speak Portuguese, cook Brazilian food, dance to Brazilian music, and I meet people who are even to this day some of my best friends in the world.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook and will be happy to help around the house in any way I can during my stay! I can share stories of my travels and maybe teach some Portuguese or English if the host is interested. Overall, I strive to be the best guest possible while staying in someones home.
