Overview
About Me
I live in Saskatoon SK, I'm a Fransaskois, a 4th generation French-Canadian from Saskatchewan (if Fransaskois sounded like an incomprehensible word to you!). I'm an artist, an illustrator, and a cultural worker. On a free-lance basisI get hired to do art workshops, research, curate art shows, and art administration work. I love learning more about people and the world. That's probably why I majored in Anthropology! HA nerd...
My husband is a musician, and works as a psychologist with youth. He is a real jokster and loves to make people laugh.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like meeting people from all over the world so that I get the opportunity to feel time and place through someone else's eyes. There's nothing like connecting with people and learning new ways of interpreting the world around us.
I'm really passionate and curious about culture - a people's history, how culture develops, how it evolves, how people interpret what is around them through culture (music, art, poetry etc). Love meeting people who are as curious to learn about these things as I am.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I used to co-host a French music radio show on CFCR (Saskatoon community radio) for four years. It was a real pleasure and a treat. I loved discovering new music everyday. I got to learn a lot about French music from Europe and Canada - would love to learn more about African music history and its contemporary artists!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you a bit about Saskatchewan history (Colonization: the Métis people, the First Nation people and their oppression, French-Canadian history etc), and show you the city, and its cultural hot spots. My husband and I make our own honey, and we roast our own coffee beans. We are a little bit obsessed with good coffee - so we can show you the great places to have an espresso and see live music! My husband is a musician here so he's very well informed. We have a jam space in our home so if you can play an instrument we might be able to hook you up with other musicians (no guarantees!).
What I Can Share with Hosts
We have a basement room with a double-bed, and a hide-a-bed in the adjacent living room-jam space. We have a bathroom downstairs with a washer and dryer.
No kitchen downstairs.
Countries I’ve Visited
Argentina, Belgium, Bolivia, Ecuador, France, Morocco, Peru, Senegal
