About Me

I am very easy going and relaxed, taking life as it comes, not forcing anything! I am going to study Fine Art starting in September 2016 and am using this year to widen my outlook on life and experience as much as I can before uni! The most important thing for me on this trip is meeting new people and experiencing other countries cultures and languages. (I am the girl on the right in my profile picture)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet new people and experience the area from a more local perspective. I would like to get a feel for the place from people who are not tourists or travellers, but who know the area and can recommend places to see or go!

Interests

I love music and the arts, the outdoors and the beauty of nature! "Nature is the greatest artist". I play the cello so music is a really important part of my life. I mainly play traditional English, Irish and Scottish music but also classical. I am the eldest of 5 children so I also love being around kids. Travelling around and seeing new things is the most important thing anyone could do, and everyone should do!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music, so this is just a small selection of the people I listen to!: Manran, Daughtry, The Wailing Jenny's, Alastair Fraser and Natalie Haas, van canto, the moulettes, Jack Johnson, pretty much any music except very heavy screamo metal!
I love dystopia novels, like 1984, The Handmaids Tale, Under the Never Sky, Matched, and also fantasy novels such as Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, the Opal Cowen series and lots more, I love reading!
There are so many films! Juno, Cool Runnings, Chorist, Chocolat, Hugo, Paper Towns, Inception, Grease

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been to New Zealand several times with my family for 6 months at a time and travelled around both islands seeing many amazing things and having wonderful experiences

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach the cello or music, I can also help with English, and I am quite good at arty crafty things or jewellery making.
I would love to learn some different languages and get a better grasp of the cultures of different countries. I would also be totally willing to learn any new skills that you have to offer!
