About Me
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I just got back from a 3 month internship in Kenya and now I'm applying to work for charities in London. I will probably need a place or two to stay when I get myself a job while I find myself somewhere permanent/wait for my first paycheck and would be great to make some new friends in the city too!
I've hosted people before and been a guest in stangers' homes and just had the best time. It's fun to get to know people that you would otherwise maybe never cross paths with. The girl I shared a room with in Kenya I now even call my sister.
Also, I don't travel abroad much at all due to the cost so would be fab to find some happy faces in nice places to stay with on future travels.
Interests
First thing you should know is my absolute favorite thing to do is cook for people, and if you help me out I will do this for you as much as you like. FOOD is just wonderful. I love finding new ingredients and dinner parties and picnics and cake with a cup of tea and having a natter over a a platter of dips and finding great cafes and food markets and the ultimate privilege of having someone cook you their signature dish.
I just love people and their stories. Hearing what makes them them and their world views.
I love exploring new places. Whether that's walking through the woods, (slowly) hiking or getting lost in a city and just seeing where I end up.
I like going to watch bands and dancing all night.

Music, Movies, and Books
Is "anything that's dead good" a good answer?
I worked in live music and dance music venues in Manchester. The music scene is phenomenal there. If I'm out and dancing, I'm a sucker for a horn section.
I'm a sucker for any movie or book with a badass heroine. Half of a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is the best book I've read recently. I've recently been reading Maya Angelou's autobiographies and poems too. BABE
.... and then classic chick flicks like Clueless and stoner movies like Clerks.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to make some bangin vegetarian home recipes- or just share what I make with you.
I've also tutored English before and would be super willing to help you. I studied Linguistics at uni and love learning about other languages too!!
I've been working as a small business consultant in Kenya, so if you want me to share my insights on that I can maybe help you make whatever you do even better. Tell me what you're working on!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner. Did I mention I love cooking?
If you're in a rut in your city I can share some spontaneity and curiosity with you!
Stories over a bottle of wine... I've had a pretty interesting life and I'm sure you have too!
