I think Couchsurfing offers you a comletely different chance to experiance your environment, because you get in contact with the locals. When you live in a Hotel you only get to know the perfect Vision and good aspects wich is not the real everyday life.
and naturally to be honest: I'm not a millionaire and I think i could invest my money better that for luxury hotels.
