I am currently a nursing student living in Chicago and loving everything that this city has to offer me. I feel so grateful everyday that I have the privilege of living in such a divine city.

I would say I was born with the wanderlust gene. Ever since I was old enough to walk, my parents took me on trips all across the United States so that I could really see all that this country has to offer. We would spend most of our time camping and exploring nature rather than staying in hotels which I loved.

Now that I am older and on my own, I travel every chance I get. I first went to Europe last year, and I still think about it everyday. That amazing feeling you get when you are in a completely different culture than what you are used to is inexplicable.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it would be an amazing experience to travel to a new city or country and be able to see the place through the local eye. I feel like the only true way to actually experience a city is for someone who knows it in and out to be able to show you it. I also love the socialization aspect of couchsurfing. Instead of being stuck in a hotel room alone, you can have people to exchange your experiences and ideas with.

Interests

As if you cannot already tell, I LOVE traveling. I love having as many new and exciting experiences as possible.
Other than traveling, my next favorite thing would be food. One of my favorite things about traveling is the fact that I get to try so many new foods. If I could eat forever and never get full that would be a fantasy.
I also love live music, anything that has to do with the outdoors, and of course having a good time going out and having drinks with my friends. Trying new beers is one of my favorite activities.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music interests really vary so much. I love indie/rock/folkish type stuff but I also do listen to pop music or "top 40" songs. It's very hard for me to not appreciate music.

I also love so so so many movies. It's hard to say what are my favorites. Some of my ALL-TIME favorites are:
the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Garden State, and Moulin Rouge.
I love comedies almost just as much as I love thrillers. I would say those two genres are definitely my favorite.

I love TV shows almost more than I love movies. Some of my favorite shows are: Game of Thrones, Dexter, Weeds, Shameless, True Detective, and Grey's Anatomy. My list could literally go on forever.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Flying to Europe alone to meet a friend last year was pretty amazing to me. It is an incredible experience to land in a completely unknown land and navigate through it alone.
