Sobre mí

Former professional matchmaker, current collector of oddities, observations, and tiny feathered dependents. I’m maternally devoted to three little parrots and to any object granted personhood via googly eyes.

My official education says one thing, but my honorary doctorate is a IBTIA: I’ve Been Through It All.

Enneagram Type 6. Six-foot-two. Built for loyalty, analysis, and reaching things.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

Because the most interesting part of travel is the person who tells you what the city is actually like, where its soul is, what people love there, what they complain about, and which place has food worth reorganizing your day around.
~

For those stranded at the DFW airport after a cancelled flight, I’m particularly sympathetic

Música, películas y libros

Musically, I’m pulled toward the atmospheric: indie folk, noir pop and psychedelic soft rock.

On screen, I love comic mysteries/whodunits, dark comedies, offbeat comedies, capers, and whimsical fantasy or sci-fi.

In books, I’m drawn to big ideas and smart voices. I loved The Three-Body Problem, and I have a soft spot for writers like Nora McInerny and Caitlin Doughty, who can look directly at mortality, grief, and the absurdity of being alive.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I bring good conversation, curiosity, perspective, and a sense of humor. I can talk about relationships, human behavior, writing, grief, resilience, and why the human condition is both profound and a little embarrassing. I like people with depth, wit, and unborrowed thoughts.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I’m considerate, clean, communicative, and very aware that being hosted is an act of generosity, not an entitlement. I’m easy to host, happy to help, respectful of space, and far more interested in being a pleasant and interesting guest than in treating someone’s home like a free place to sleep.
