Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel, and I know how expensive it can be! I'd like to provide the opportunity for others to enjoy their voyage without spending their life savings, and hope that someday I can be given the same chance!

Interests

I love to travel - I've been traveling a lot in America in order to learn Spanish! I've also just gone back to school to get my bachelors degree in Latin American Studies. I enjoy reading, dancing, attempting to cook, going to the beach, and plenty of things that I'm sure would excite you terribly.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm not the biggest movie buff, but I'm always down to watch Kill Bill or Harry Potter. I love reading anything and everything - currently staring at the cover of War and Peace while having delved into Moonwalking with Einstein.
To describe the limitations of my music taste would be more applicable. Even then, there's a time and a place for heart-of-the-south country and scream-until-your-vocal-cords-fall-out metal. Who am I to say? Anything from Coltrane to Calvin Harris.

Teach, Learn, Share

One of my current goals is to be able to travel and teach English. I'm currently learning Spanish, and would love to practice with anyone who is interested! I'm always looking to meet new people and learn new things. This seems like a great way to do it!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a great one bedroom/second story place in a quiet part of Santa Monica close to town and 21 blocks from the beach, with a couch and a twin bed in my living room. Plus an air mattress if needed! I enjoy living alone, but I also love having people around! Both new and old. I personally find myself rather entertaining, and I can only hope that you will as well.
