About Me
ABOUT ME
What's most interesting one probably doesn't say here... I like cooking, then eating; adventurous outdoor activities; nature; strange movies. Nonsense. I would be considered easy-going (but possibly a bit mad) by most of my aquaintances. I am open-minded and almost always friendly.
PHILOSOPHY
My philosophy is to be open to change, especially with ideas.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like the non-materialistic aspect to couchsurfing. It's an amazing way to meet new people. I am still friends with several people I have couchsurfed with and hosted.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Hosted two lovely couchsurfers here in Walsden.
Couchsurfed in Montpellier in 2014. Made several new friends through this! :)
An amazing CS experience in Ireland when hitchiking with a friend.
I was put in touch with couchsurfer Declan through family friends when he was visiting Adra, where I was living at the time. We became friends and ended up at uni together.
I nearly forgot that another time I was in Spain I hosted some hitchhikers just because they were hitching outside where I was staying at the time (in a terrible place to hitch from!). We had a great time and became friends on couchsurfing.
Interests
I have a lot of them and I'm always interested in learning new things.
Music, Movies, and Books
One of my all time favourites is the Czech film Sedmikrasky (Daisies). A lot of Czech films are really quite good...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have hitchhiked around Europe alone with my dog.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a qualified EFL teacher. Please plague me with present perfect problems!
An Italian taught me to... "put a lot of salt in your pasta and cook it in a big pot of water and it won't stick together." It also won't taste salty. Promise!
Countries I’ve Lived In
Czech Republic, France, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, Spain, United Kingdom, United States
