About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Adventures where I meet amazing people and see new things. In search of experiences that can't be bought.

ABOUT ME

I like to read books that are magic, to cook meals that delight, to dress up as myself and to dream about places that are far away. I think of myself as a writer, an artist, a gardener, a seamstress, a cook, an apiarist, an academic, a photographer, an observer, and as one who inhabits libraries. Things that are important to me include my family, my bicycle, my spinning wheel, my beehive, the sunshine in the morning, and the smell of the sea.

PHILOSOPHY

I live to learn, and to give. I'm constantly trying to solve this puzzle of how best to live well with everyone else on this planet we have here.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment, by traveling and meeting lovely people. If I ever settle down somewhere I intend to try hosting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've not ever actually couchsurfed through this website, but while traveling I've had some similar experiences. Getting in touch, and staying with friends of friends, and volunteering (WWOOFing) on organic farms.

Interests

Life and love, literature and art. Climbing trees and watching the sunset, or dancing all night and watching the sunrise. Trying new things, seeing other places. Knowing the names of the stars. Knowing all the words of the song being played by that band I love at my local pub. People, and all that they do. Swimming in the ocean, drinking tea. Understanding the bigger picture, talking with others and getting their understanding of the bigger picture. Learning.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Picking apples in a small orhcard in France. On this magic, shining blue-sky-green-grass day. Each apple a perfect little story of its own. Filling whole heavy baskets of them, carrying them slowly between the trees to the apple cart. Red, yellow, green, golden. All so crisp and alive.

Teach, Learn, Share

Writing, knitting, crochet, spinning (with wool), beekeeping, sewing, alternative education.

Would love to know more about organic farming and permaculture, Spanish too.
