ABOUT ME

I've done plenty of travelling, but only ever trips of a few weeks. This time, I'm quitting my job and packing up my entire life back home to go and wander the globe in search of adventure.

I'm hoping to meet lots of amazing people along the way and share experiences that will become lifelong memories. Couchsurfing seems like a great place to find some.

So far I've mostly hosted couchsurfers, but I'm about to set out on my own travel adventure, so hope to switch roles and meet some great hosts.

Interests

I love taking photos and making videos. And meeting interesting people that I can take photos and make videos of.

I also love art galleries, live music, museums and historical stuff, hiking, cycling, nature, meeting new people, good food and great conversation.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have eclectic tastes and enjoy all sort of music. Some favourites include Goldfrapp, Massive Attack, N.E.R.D, Daft Punk, Arcade Fire, Florence and the Machine, Sia, Todd Terje, Sigur Ros, Retro Stefson and I love jazz, hip hop and soul.

I've studied screenwriting, which has given me a keen appreciation for TV/movies that are well written. This could range from action to drama to comedy.
Should probably name a few - House of Cards, Game of Thrones, Orange is the New Black, Breaking Bad. Also films by Alan Ball and Pedro Almodovar.

I also like books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walked up the newest volcano in Europe, Magni, created when Eyjafjallajokull erupted in 2010. The rocks were still warm to touch!

Hiked the Milford Track in southern New Zealand. Four days of physical challenged, topped off by a day of action-fuelled adventure in Queenstown (helicopter ride, whitewater rafting, jetboating and bungee jumping!).

Drove 10,000km around Australia in 2 weeks - and that was just to kick-start my adventure!
