I like to think of my whole life as a story full of pathos, humor and irony. I enjoy meeting people, cookie tins and the nuances of language. I love art, but can only spend 45 minutes in a museum before I experience sensory overload. I prefer to travel by bike, so i have the same little rip on the end of all my pants.

I love film. All the aspects of it fascinate me. Lately I've been reading books on the problems of restitution in art--I don't know where this interest stems from, but it is sort of shocking. I thought i was finished with academia.
I've also spent a long time working for an organic farm. I like playing in the dirt and operating heavy farm equipment.

Movies? I have a weakness for the French. Goddard and Truffaut (especially Pierrot Le Fou and anything with Pierre Leaud) Also I like anything Herzog. Alternately, I've probably watched HEATHERS a million times and can be coaxed into watching anything with Vampires (Zombies, i can resist).
Music--this one is tough. I like pretty much everything with the exception of some hardcore bands. Lately I've been switching between Neko Case, Momus, Magnetic Fields, Rolling Stones, Public Enemy and Nick Cave.
